Blue Bag Recycling Program
“Blue Bag It”
Items that can be recycled for FREE (in blue)-
*All Type 1 plastics. Type 1 all colors of plastic (clear, white,
brown, green, etc.) No need to remove labels.
*Type 2 plastic can only be milk jugs—white or translucent.
The type will be on the bottom of the container.
All lids must be removed.
* Magazines, Catalogs, newspaper, phone

* Shredded paper can also be recycled, but must be in
another separate blue bag and only have shredded paper in it.
* Aluminum cans—please rinse out and dry if added to
paper products. No need to remove labels.

freon, such as refrigerators, freezers and air
conditioners must have the compressor still intact. The fee for these

green "metal" bin for recycling. Please note that tin cans may be
placed in the "metal" bin as long as they are CLEAN.

NO GLASS, PLEASE. WE CANNOT RECYCLE GLASS
Some “hints” to make the program successful:
- Please use the Blue Recycling Bags— this will help distinguish your recycles from your regular garbage & keep your magazines, newspaper and office paper dry.
- Do not fill the bags too full.
- Remember to tie the bag securely so the contents stay inside.
- Absolutely NO TRASH in the Recycle Dumpster.
- Tell your neighbors about how easy it is to recycle, how recycling reduces the amount of waste your family throws away and how the proceeds benefit the entire community.
